Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd (BPL), the leading pharmaceutical manufacturer and exporter of the country, signed an agreement with the Gulf Generics, a widely renowned and highly accredited pharmaceutical distributor of the Gulf region, yesterday.

According to the agreement, the Gulf Generics will be responsible for the distribution and marketing of BPL products in Kuwait and other Gulf Central Committee (GCC) states, which has the US two billion dollar pharmaceutical market.

The agreement was signed by Nazmul Hassan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BPL and Monsur Yazdani Khan, Director of GG of Kuwait, at Beximco office at Dhanmondi in the city.

On the occasion of the signing agreement between the GG and BPL Nazmul Ahsan said, "In our operation of over 25 years, we have been the leader and the flagship of Bangladesh pharmaceutical industry by setting a new trend and exploring newer horizons

of export opportunities. In our global expansion plan, we have always considered Middle East as a very potential market for us."

Monsur Khan Yazdani said, "We are very delighted that very soon we are going to start importing medicines from Bangladesh. The GCC countries are predominantly dependent on medicines from the developed Western countries. We represent GG's giant
